Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner
PHOENIX VELOCITY HEAT
DIRECT FIRED BURNER
When you need rugged dependability, the Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner delivers reliable industrial performance across a wide capacity range from 150,000 up to 7,500,000 BTU/hr. The Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner is engineered for demanding continuous-duty applications where consistent heat output and durability are critical.
Typical applications for the Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner include batch and continuous furnaces for heat treating, thermal oxidisers, non-ferrous melting furnaces, and a wide range of other industrial heating processes. Built for long service life, the Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner is designed with rugged construction to ensure dependable operation in harsh industrial environments.
Integrated gas and air orifices simplify installation, piping, setup, and adjustment. The orientation of the inlet connections can be adjusted in 90-degree increments, allowing the Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner to adapt to a variety of piping configurations while keeping installation and maintenance efficient and cost-effective.
The Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner can operate using on-ratio or fixed air control systems, and its built-in ignitor ensures reliable ignition across the full operating range, improving safety and operational consistency.
High-temperature powder-coated components, along with an optional stainless steel nozzle, ensure that the Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner performs reliably in high-temperature heat treatment environments. All components are designed for easy access, making maintenance and servicing of the Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner straightforward and time-efficient.
The Phoenix Velocity Heat Burner is also designed for compatibility with Honeywell® and Eclipse® ThermJet burners, making it a direct replacement for TJ burners without affecting performance or overall process operation.

The VH produces an intense stream of hot gases to thoroughly penetrate the load and deliver precise temperature uniformity for consistent product quality and system efficiency.
- Large turndown combined with high excess air
A wide turndown range with high excess air means VH delivers high velocity benefits and efficiencies across its operating range.
- Customization with packaged convenience
All VH components have been pre-engineered to come together to meet your specific requirements. You choose the capacity, nozzle material, combustor material and outlet velocity, fuel type, and flame sensing components you need to do the job.
- Unparalleled fuel and control convenience
The VH offers the convenience of multi-fuel capability with no nozzle change. Plus, you can use any control methodology; pulse firing, excess air or on-ratio.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Yes, our Velocity Heat burners have an identical footprint and operational envelope as the Eclipse® ThermJet burners. This is to maintain familiarity for our customers in operation and installation of the burners.
Yes, our Velocity Heat and the ThermJet share the most common spare parts. This includes alloy and ceramic combustors, nozzles, igniters, flame rods, o-rings, and mounting gaskets.
Our goal is to ship burners in as little as four weeks. We keep stock of all the necessary burner components to allow the building and shipping of burners as quickly as possible.
Yes. Later this year we are planning to add to our Velocity Heat furnace burner line with capacities up to 10,000,000 BTU/hr.
We ship parts that are in stock, in five days or less.
We provide an NPT threaded fuel inlet with an ANSI air flange and a BSP threaded inlet with a DIN air flange.
The refractory block will be shipped separately from the burner and directly from our closest manufacturing location. This ensures lower shipping costs and a better product delivery.
